Word of Faith is the Root of Pentecostalism
I believe in the Word of Faith teaching in that speaking God’s Word out of a heart mixed with faith releases God’s power and promises.
”By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” Hebrews 11:3
The word “universe” is not cosmos which means “planetary systems”, it is aeon meaning “specific time period” or “generation.”
The word “formed” means to “shape, mold, or fashion.”
The word “God’s command” is the word rhema which literally means “the articulation of God’s revelation.”
So, this verse is saying, “By faith, the generations are shaped by the articulated revelation of God.”
The Word of Faith movement is under attack. What few people realize is how integrated this doctrine is in Pentecostalism.
