Precept: Genesis 9:1 & Genesis 11:4
Principle:
You place cannot stay in the purpose of God by devising your own plans.
Practice:
1. The descendants of Noah, the three Sons, Ham, Shem, and Japheth, wanted to remain in the plain of Shinar, rather than be scattered over the earth.
• Shinar (between two rivers) is the modern Bagdad, Iraq
• Psalm 33:10
• Man used their vain imaginations to scheme a plan against the purpose of God.
• God allowed a disruption in their communication to cause confusion.
• Without clarity, vision became lost.
- The early church stayed in Jerusalem rather than “go into all the world.”
• Acts 8:1
Principles to Apply:
• Your imagination is not for the scheming of plans but for the revelation of God’s secret wisdom.
• 1 Corinthians 2:9
• You must become masterful in communication skills.
• Vision must be clear.

Precept: 1 Chronicles 12:32
Men of Issachar, who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.
Principle:
Understanding the times gives you an advantage over others.
Practice:
- Men of Issachar were the descendants of the 5th son of Jacob and Leah.
- Issachar means “to bring in wages.”
- Ecclesiastes 7:14 - When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future.
- Hebrews 11:8
- Abraham was called out of his father’s place in order to step into his future.
- Abraham’s father, Terah, remained in Haran.
Principles to Apply:
• Understand the times in order to have the advantage of new income.
• During difficult times is a time for reflection and seeking God for new opportunities.
• Don’t allow the nostalgia of the past to hold you from stepping into your future.
• When the brook dries up (God’s former provision) discomfort will move you into your next place.
Mark 10:29 Principle!
