McCain's Choice

By choosing Sarah Palin, Senator McCain showed excellent judgment and a witty strategy. She is an outstanding, smart, and capable choice. She is also a Spirit-filled believer who is a member of the Assemblies of God. I believe that McCain is running a very intelligent campaign. His performance at the Saddleback Showdown was amazing (despite Jimmy Carter’s opinion). I look forward to see how Palin handles Biden at their first debate.

  1. Pastor Kennedy you are right. Friday night some friends and I were discussing just why the left has such a viral reaction to Gov Palin. They couch it in personal attacks, or tie it to some specific self-interest issue, and they can’t articulate it this way, but it is because she is Nathan to the godless David that is the liberal.

A primary delineation of the left is that they live with an external locust of control; their circumstances couldn’t possibly be their own fault. They place their faith and hope in secular humanism and look to the government for help. It is so much easier for the liberal minded to look to leaders at the same level or lower than themselves, as it justifies their own life choices. I think that is why they tolerate leadership that argues the definition of is.

To have a leader that lacks the dysfunction in their own lives, reminds them of their own poor choices. As such, when they see someone of the caliber of Gov Palin they, like David, begin to “quake in their bones”. At some basic level they already know their lifestyle is wrong. Unlike David when confronted by Nathan, they run further from Truth rather than towards it.
