LACC Summit

The view is truly spectacular. The snow capped mountains command my attention. It’s hard to turn away from them. Every break between swinging my golf clubs I turn to look at the inspiring scenery. The golf course is always challenging but is in pristine condition for the 2008 U.S Senior Open. I will especially enjoy watching the tournament this year because of my intimate familiarity with the greens. They are challenging to say the least.

We had an incredible time of fellowship. Those who attended are the best of the best. Relationships are so important, so valuable, so encouraging. Each participant at this year’s Summit contributed in so many ways, making the week a special memory.

Ron Barefield told me yesterday, ”I have been doing this for a long time but last nights banquet was the best.”

What made the event so good was the amazing story of how Latin America Child Care rescued a young Costa Rican boy, Daniel Gonzalas, from the barrios to become a medical doctor. Missionary Phil Schmidt revealed the plan of LACC to draw upon the “Dream Seeds” of children and enable them through the gospel to become their dream.

I asked the participants to join me in the challenge of sponsoring 1000 Dream Seeds. With overwhelming enthusiasm they responded. Over 1000 children will be sponsored through this event!

If you would like to be involved in this great endeavor contact LACC.
