Reciprocity
Reciprocity is the exchange for mutual benefit. I believe it is the golden rule that guarantees success. It is the fundamental principle that what you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.
In 1 Kings 17, the story of an impoverished widow demonstrates how this principle works. She was willing to make an exchange with the Prophet Elijah that secured her success. Although she had nothing except a small handful of flour and a little oil in a jug, she willing and obediently gave her last resources to him (I wonder if Senator Grassley should investigate Elijah for taking the poor widows money?).
By providing the prophet with the “offering” he in turn provided her with his gift - which is a prophetic word of supply. This is reciprocity at best. Each one had something that the other needed. When they released their own possession, they were mutually beneficial.
You have a gift that someone else is waiting to receive, they have an gift that you need. The exchange is the act of fulfillment for both parties.
